It’s becoming painfully clear that Nancy Pelosi only cares about one thing: her power.
She is quick to ignore the advice and requests of members of the House. She attacks people, then breaks her own rules.
And the only thing that seems to motivate her decisions is her own vindictive quest.
A former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, weighed in on Pelosi’s legacy.
And Newt gave her a new, fitting nickname.
“As a former speaker of the House, I think that the U.S. House is very, very, very important,” Gingrich told host John Catsimatidis. “And watching [Pelosi] become a dictator, watching her break every single rule, watching her run things entirely on her own, I think, is the most destructive thing I’ve seen done by any American politician in a very, very long time. And I think that we will see for years from now that problem.”
Gingrich blasted Pelosi over her leadership in the few years.
Calling her a “dictator,” Newt criticized Pelosi for her disrespect of the law and breaking “every single rule.”
Gingrich also criticized Pelosi’s treatment of the border. He said she throws out the law when it comes to issues that the “left-wing cares about.”
He went on to warn that legislation passed by Pelosi could lead to “Jimmy Carter-style inflation.”
Of course, we’re already seeing that, thanks to Pelosi’s support of Biden’s stimulus bill.
Pelosi in recent days has threatened the Senate over two spending bills. She seems to think she can not only bully the House but the upper chamber as well.
She is unwilling to negotiate with Republicans, dismissing their input or concerns. We’ve seen her try to arrest people who don’t wear masks on Capitol Hill.
She wanted to monitor Republican lawmakers who refused to comply with her ever-changing rules.
And she frequently insults conservatives from all across America, especially over the virus.
“Dictator” is a strong word, but how else can we describe her? She knows her time is coming to a close.
But instead of leaving a lasting legacy that Americans respect, she keeps doubling down on trying to control the American people and their representatives.
In reality, Gingrich could have used much harsher words and been 100% accurate.
