Gingrich Hits Pelosi With Heavy Accusation – Claims Nancy Is The “Greatest Threat To Constitutional Liberty”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is one of the most controversial political figures in recent years.

She was a common enemy of former President Donald Trump, and Republicans and Conservatives alike criticize her far-left policies.

But now, former Speaker Newt Gingrich has gone even farther.

In a new op-ed, Gingrich roasted Pelosi and made some startling claims. He has often been an outspoken critic of the current administration.

And he has a very particular problem with the House Speaker, who has made plenty of waves in 2021 alone.

While Democrat leaders accuse the GOP and right-wing citizens of causing more division, Republicans often come back with accusations of their own.

Atop the list is the apparent authoritarian nature of Democrat leaders like Pelosi, Gingrich says:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the greatest threat to constitutional liberty in our lifetime.

With the passive support of an apparently cowardly caucus, she is behaving as a dictator more like Fidel Castro, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, or Nicolás Maduro.

Gingrich went on a tirade, citing some actions by Pelosi he finds especially egregious.

For example, he mentioned that Pelosi ordered the fencing around the U.S. Capitol to remain for months after the Jan. 6 incident.

Then she “stripped a duly elected Republican of all her committee assignments.”

In regards to the pandemic, Gingrich says Pelosi threatened to have members of Congress and their staff arrested if they don’t follow the mask mandate.

This has become an increasingly hot-button issue around the country.

With the surge of the delta variant, many Democrat leaders like Pelosi are urging the guidelines and mandates to come back.

And some Republicans are saying the mandates this time around feel even more draconian.

Beyond that, Gingrich concluded by saying Pelosi is on a dark path:

If her power, arrogance, and destructiveness is allowed to continue growing, she will shatter the precedents of the U.S. House, undermine hundreds of years of common legislative precedent going back to the Magna Carta of 1215, and the destroy the established principle that those who write laws are still subordinate to them.

Gingrich does say there’s light at the end of the tunnel, however.

Currently, Pelosi only holds onto her gavel by a slim margin. And the midterm elections next year could cause Nancy to lose her position.

Some right-wing politicians are predicting a big “red wave” in 2022, after all.

At this point, Pelosi is arguably one of the most disliked politicians among Republicans. So it’s no surprise they want her removed.

As for whether or not the red wave comes and Republicans flip the House, that remains to be seen.
