Large pores are part of our life, so because they are here, that doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything against them.
Every woman at some point in her life, has had the experience with those stubborn blackheads. But the men have them too. Blackheads (comedo) are a wide opening in the skin usually on the face with black skin debris that covers the pore. It is a widened hair follicle that is full with debris like oil, bacteria and keratin.
The sebum lubricates the skin and the hair and generally exits through the pores. But sometimes the exit of the pores can be blocked, and the bacteria then easily can accumulate in the pores. The blackheads are caused on the skin by an overproduction of oil.
Here are a few tips that will help you to shrink those pores and to keep the blackheads at the bay.
Use a clay mask: clay masks strip the oil and the water from the skin, and makes your pores look smaller. Use clay masks that have bentonite and kaoline clay.
Try some other facial masks: mix 4 tablespoons of sugar, 2 whole eggs, and a few drops of acidic liquid. Spread the mixture onto your face, and after 15 minutes, rinse the face with cold water.
Use an oil-free cleanser: the oil free cleanser will wash away the oil, makeup and dirt without taking away the moisture in your face. Rinse your face with cold water because the cold water shrinks the pores.
Vitamin C: the vitamin C increases the production of collagen and elastin into the skin.
Try skin toners: skin toners can help you to get rid of the shine and oil, keeps the pores from clogging and prevent the breakouts.
Use skin exfoliation: exfoliate the skin by putting a cleanser on your face and then gently scrub it with a gritty scrub.
Astringents: they are much like toners, but they are a little stronger and alcohol based. The alcohol-based astringents are recommended for oily and tolerant skin.
No overnight make-up: if you leave the make-up on your face overnight, it can clogs the pores and allows the skin to become oily and that can cause large pores and blemishes.
Steam: all that you need is a hot water, ice cubes, lemon juice and a washcloth. Put the hot water in a large bowl, and hold your face over it for 3-5 minutes. Then put the lemon juice on the washcloth, dab it onto the face and then rinse it with cold water. After that, rub the face with the ice cubes. Alternate between lemon juice, hot water and ice cubes and watch the pores shrink.
Drink plenty of water: replace the soft drinks with water in order to reduce the size of the pores. The water flushes the toxins in the body, while the soft drinks are not healthy for you.
